International level
Racism and xenophobia are global phenomena, and ridding the world of them requires a coordinated international response.
Taking action to stamp out racial discrimination and protect victims is one of the cornerstones of human rights protection. By ratifying a number of international and regional treaties, Switzerland has committed itself to taking appropriate and effective measures.
The Service for Combating Racism prepares the information required for reports on the implementation of these treaties in Switzerland.
