The Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA) is the government department that deals with everyday life and practical matters. It is where decisions are made that directly affect citizens, their daily routines and their living conditions. A total of around 3,600 people work in the General Secretariat, federal offices, specialised units and affiliated organisations.

General Secretariat (GS-FDHA)

The General Secretariat is the Department’s central administrative office. It is responsible for planning, coordination and monitoring tasks and serves as a key interface between the head of the Department and the federal offices. It also coordinates resources and provides advisory services for the entire Department.
