FDHA focus areas

The FDHA is at the heart of everyday life. It is responsible for old-age and survivors’ insurance (OASI) and occupational pension provision (second pillar), for health, accident and invalidity insurance, as well as for human and animal health and the safety of medicines and food. Other areas that fall within the FDHA’s remit include culture, family policy, gender equality, equality of people with disabilities, combating racism, federal statistics and meteorology.
